Tweeting Live Events

TwitterTwitter is one of my favorite tools.  It is a quick and easy way to share links to articles and videos that I come across on the web and to share my own comments and observations on just about anything.  It is also a very easy way to keep up with the headlines (and further details) in the world, the Church, media, sports, etc.  You can follow me on Twitter @srsusan.

One of the uses of Twitter that we as Catholic organizations and ministers can use much more effectively is tweeting during live events. Here is a quick and practical slide presentation from Meredith Gould for those who want to learn why and how to do that. Meredith spells it out in simple terms and her “Best Practice” advice is the voice of experience talking and her “Pro tips” are just that–tips from a pro who uses Twitter for just about everything. You can follow Meredith on Twitter @MeredithGould.

In case you haven’t already read Meredith’s latest book, The Social Media Gospel, you can find it here. It is full of practical information on the most useful social media tools for ministry.
Do you use Twitter?  Have you ever used it during a live event? Tell us about it.
