Search engine optimization (SEO) is all about making your website appear high in the various search engines, especially Google. There has been a lot written about how to improve your standings on the lists. If you are creating a new website or updating your current one, you can do a lot to improve your rankings.
Last week I found this amazing infographic that spells it all out for you. Search engines use various algorithms to determine the degree to which your site matches a search. Some factors on your site carry more weight than others.
The table below, modeled on the periodic chart, identifies the factors being measured and gives their relative weight.
