The Pastoral Visit of Pope Francis to the United States on September 22-27 was nothing short of amazing. He gave U.S. Catholics a new pride in the Church and inspired all to greater love of neighbor especially the poor and marginalized. In each of his many speeches and homilies, the Holy Father challenged Catholics and all people of good will to find new ways to come together for the Common Good.

In words and actions, the Holy Father communicated the joy and the challenge of the Gospel in a way that uplifted people from every walk of life and economic situation. His visit was truly a blessing.

On Saturday, CNN asked its viewers to tweet 3 words to describe Pope Francis using the hashtag #Popein3Words. In a very short time, #Popein3Words was trending on Twitter—that is, it was one of the most popular topics. Some of the most used words were humble, compassionate and inspiring.
