Christmas Gift for You

christmas-crib-figures-1903954_1920Dear Readers,

My prayer for you is that the peace and joy of Christmas 2016 fill your hearts and overflow into all you experience in 2017!  May joy be a hallmark of your ministry.

As a little gift to you, I have prepared a short reflection on Pope Francis’ Message for the 50th World Day of Peace, January 1, 2017. Feel free to share it on your social media sites or embed it on your websites.  Just click on the Share Button in the upper right hand corner and you will see the links to do that.  Below the video is some wording you can use as is or modify to use in a Facebook post.

On January 1, the Solemnity of Mary, the Holy Mother of God, the Roman Catholic Church also celebrates the World Day of Peace which was established by Pope Paul VI in 1967. On this day, the Popes have issued messages in support of peace and justice throughout the world. In 2017, Pope Francis writes about: Nonviolence: a Style of Politics for Peace. This video presents a few excerpts from the document for prayer and reflection. To read the entire message visit http://bit.ly/2017WorldDayofPeace.

Have a holy and blessed New Year!  My next post will be on January 10, 2017.

Thank you so much for this gift, Susan. I am sharing it with many others. Another example of how social media can be a means of spreading God’s love to others. God bless you and have a truly blessed Christmas and New Year!
