2014 World Communications Day: Encounter and Solidarity

Sunday, June 1, was World Communications Day. In his message for the day (published in January, 2014), Pope Francis focused on the possibilities that the Internet provides for encounter and solidarity. One of the popular quotes from his message is that the “Internet….is a gift from God.”

Here are excerpts from the 2014 message of Pope Francis that I like very much.

You can read the entire message here.

What a wonderful message from the Pope who has a gift of showing how the internet is in the service of the Gospel. Thank you so much for sharing this! I probably would not have seen this message if it weren’t for your blog. Another example of how the internet works to spread the good news!
